We know that pumpkins are fun to carve and place on our stoops for Halloween. But did you know that pumpkins and pumpkin seeds have many health benefits?
Pumpkins are particularly rich in Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, iron, and folate.  They also contain the antioxidants alpha-carotene, beta-cryptoxanthin, and beta carotene which protect your cells from free radicals.
Pumpkins are a nutrient-dense food which means they are incredibly low in calories despite being packed with nutrients.
Here are some of the health benefits:
🎃 High antioxidant content may reduce the risk of chronic diseases

🎃 Packed with vitamins that may boost immunity

🎃 Vitamin A, Luetin, and Zeaxanthin may protect eyesight

🎃 Nutrient density and low calorie may promote weight loss

🎃 Antioxidant content may lower risk of cancer

🎃 Potassium, Vitamin C, and Fiber may benefit heart health

🎃 Contains nutrients that promote healthy skin.
