Jordan Barrera
(PT, DPT)
Jordan grew up in Arlington, Texas and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Health with a specialty in Medical Fitness and Rehabilitation. He then went to physical therapy school at Creighton University in Omaha and graduated in 2023. He came to the area thanks to his wife who began medical school at UI and currently resides in Iowa City with her, two cats, and a dog. In addition to learning to love Hawkeye athletics, Jordan is an avid sports fan, with his favorite team to watch being the Dallas Stars hockey team. In his free time, Jordan loves to stay active playing soccer, running, lifting weights, and walking his dog. Jordan became interested in physical therapy after high school soccer injuries when he realized physical therapy combined numerous aspects about health, fitness, and strengthening that he was passionate about. What he loves the most about the profession is getting to make meaningful impacts on people’s lives and connecting personally with each patient.
